Yellapur: Carpenter falls into well, dies

Yellapur: A 40-year-old carpenter accidentally fell into a well and died while working at Gramdevi Nagar in Yellapur town on Monday.

The deceased was identified as Raghavendra Gajanan Shetty of Shigepal village near Tatgar Road. He is survived by mother, wife and two children.

Raghavendra died instantly as the ring fixed to the 50 feet deep well hit his head while falling into it.

Raghavendra was involved in various social activities. He was a member of RSS, Sahyadri Nisarga Balaga, Umamaheshwari Yuva Sene and other organisations.

He also used to work with the Home Guards and used to donate blood in case of emergencies.
