Uttara Kannada district records three more deaths, 76 new cases

Karwar: With 76 more testing positive for Covid-19 in the district on Wednesday, the district tally stood at 774 in the district.

Seven recovered patients were discharged.

Dandeli taluk has reported a whopping 35 cases, Yellapur taluk recorded 16 cases, eight in Sirsi taluk, six in Kumta taluk, four in Karwar taluk, three in Mundagod taluk, and two each in Haliyal and Bhatkal taluks.

The district also reported three deaths on Wednesday, taking the total deaths to eight. P-45199, a 46-year-old woman died on Monday, P-47319, a 61-year-old woman and P-47325, a 45-year-old man brought dead to the hospital on Tuesday were tested positive for the infection on Wednesday.

All three were suffering from Severe Acute Respiratory Infection. 

At present, there are 309 active cases being treated in the designated Covid hospital.
