Two more test positive for COVID-19 in Bhatkal; tally now to 3

Bhatkal: With two fresh cases of novel Coronavirus, the total number of people affected by COVID-19 in Bhatkal has now risen to 3, informed Uttara Kannada Deputy Commissioner Dr. Harish Kumar said in a press conference.

A 65-year-old man who had recently returned from Dubai tested positive for coronavirus infection on Tuesday. He landed in Mumbai International Airport on 18 March and later by train  he reached Bhatkal. He has been admitted to the Government Hospital for treatment. 

The second patient is a 40-year-old man, who had landed at Mangaluru International Airport from Dubai and had travelled by road to Bhatkal. He has been tested positive for coronavirus and has been admitted to the Bhatkal Hospital and is being treated there. Earlier a 22-year old youngster hailing from Bhatkal tested positive in Mangaluru.

According to reports, the man had travelled in a car to his hometown with family. Both of them have been placed at Isolation ward in Bhatkal.
