Two brothers fall from building roof in Bhatkal: 1 die, another serious

Bhatkal: One lost his life, while another serious, after two brothers fell from the roof of a two-storeyed building here at Car street in Bhatkal.

The deceased is identified as Muhammed Fahad (18), whereas the injured is Anzaf (13), both son of Mohammed Farooque Maniyar. 

It is learnt that the mishap took place when the duo were playing on the roof of their house, during which they slipped and fell. On falling down, Fahad came in contact with the live electric wire and lost his life on the spot. Whereas Anzaf, who is seriously injured, has been rushed to Udupi hospital. 

About Fahad, it is said that he was a student of Naunihal school in Bhatkal, whereas Anzaf was employed at Vijayawada and had been to Bhatkal two months ago. Anzaf remained in Bhatkal for long on the fears of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. Their father, Muhammad Farooque is employed in Vijayawada since three decades.

In this regard, a case has been registered at Bhatkal police station and further investigations are on.
