Two assailants attack bus driver in Ankola

Ankola: An on duty KSRTC bus driver was attacked by two assailants over a silly reason here at Avarsa in Ankola taluk on Wednesday, 13th November.

The driver, Ashok Jummannanavar was injured after he was attacked with helmet. The assailants, who arrived on the bike, fled the scene soon after causing the incident. Reports said that one among the assailants was from Avarsa, who is identified as Ravidas. 

According to sources, the reason behind attacking is said that the bike was overtaken by the bus, which angered the bike riders, following they stopped the bus and attacked the driver with helmet. Due to the incident, the bus driver sustained head injuries.

On receiving the information, Ankola PSI Sampath rushed to the spot. 

A case has been registered in this regard and investigations are underway.
