Instil confidence among children, teachers told

Karwar: Deputy Commissioner Mullai Muhilan advised the teachers to instil self-confidence and courage among the children to achieve something big in life. 

Speaking after inaugurating the Teachers’ Day programme held in Karwar on Sunday, he said, the teachers play a vital role in shaping the personality of the students.  

He said, the children in rural areas face many challenges while studying in Kannada medium. An inferiority complex should not cause an impact on their personality development. Hence, the teachers should guide them to tread the right path in life and should encourage them to dream big and to work hard to realise their dreams, he advised.

He said, the role of parents too is immense in grooming the personality of the children. The teachers faced the challenges posed by the Covid-19. Amidst several challenges and fear of the pandemic, the teachers imparted education to the children. The teachers’ contribution to society is great, he praised.     

Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer M Priyanga said, encouragement and inspiration given by teachers can create wonders. Teachers help the students to reach their goals in life, she stated.

The district-level Best Teacher Award was conferred on 15 teachers. They were also felicitated on the occasion. 

DDPI Harish Gaokar, BEO Shantesh, Assistant Commissioner Vidyashri Chandaragi, Taluk Panchayat Executive Officer Anand Kumar Balappanavar and others were present.
