Stern action against whoever behind Bengaluru violence: Home Minister Bommai

Udupi: The police were forced to fire at the unruly mob to bring the situation under control in Kaval Byrsandara in Bengaluru on Tuesday night, said Home Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Wednesday in Udupi.

Speaking to newsmen here he said. “After trying all possible ways, the police, as a last resort, had to fire and bring the situation under control.”

The Minister who is presently in Udupi was referring to Tuesday night’s violent incidents in Bengaluru following the attack on MLA Akhanda Srinivasa Murthi’s residence over a Facebook post.
