Sirsi: One arrested for inciting communal hatred on Facebook

Sirsi: Police have arrested one person on the charges of spreading fake news against one community on Facebook to spark communal hatred and damage peaceful atmosphere in the region. 

The accused is identified as Kiran Nayak, a resident of Sirsi.

Sources said that Kiran was trying to incite communal hatred against a particular community, following which a case was registered with Sirsi rural police station. In this regard, under the guidance of DSP Gopal Krishna Naik and CPI Pradeep, Rural police station PSI Nanja Naik has launched investigation of the case.

"Strict action will be taken against those trying to spark communal hatred on social media platforms", Sirsi PSI Pradeep BU warned.
