Bhatkal: AICC General Secretary and Rajya Sabha MP B K Hariprasad observed that though BJP suppressing minorities, it has drawn grave injustice to other castes also and working in favour of giving power to one particular caste.

He noted this while addressing the party workers and leaders during an election campaign meeting held at Venkatraman Sabha Bhavan at Asarakeri in the town on Saturday.

He said, the cases of murder and assault are being registered against the people belonging to backward communities in the district. However, no one is taking the issue seriously. The 38 BJP candidates contesting the Lok Sabha polls are facing criminal cases against them.

Even after Sadhvi Prajna Singh’s derogatory statement over Hemant Karkare, BJP has given the party ticket to her from Bhopal Constituency, he accused.

Modi is spending time in accusing Nehru, Indira Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, however, he has no dare to face the media persons, he said and added that he is fooling the people of the country with his speeches, but the fact is that neither he brought back the black money nor he eradicated corruption, he chided.

From the last six decades, Congress had never tried to divide the people in the name of religion and caste. Instead, it is trying to unite people under the Constitution. But, there is a threat for the Constitution due to BJP in the present time, he said.
