Second chartered flight of Bhatkalis to bring home 210 stranded people from Dubai on June 23

Bhatkal: Following the first chartered flight, business tycoon Mr Atiqur Rahman Muniri announced about the second flight that will fly home stranded 210 passengers of Bhatkal and surrounding areas on June 23 from Dubai and other parts of UAE.

Speaking to SahilOnline over a phonecall, Mr. Atiqur Rahman Muniri, who also leads a post of vice-president of Bhatkal's Majlise Islah Wa Tanzeem, informing about the next flight, made announcement that it would take off on 23rd June from UAE to Mangaluru. He appealed that the stranded citizens of Bhatkal and surrounding regions can apply through the email at [email protected] The documents in the email should include Passport copy first page, Passport copy last page, UAE contact number, India contact number, Visa status (Residence or visit) and Reason for travel.

It shall be remembered that the first convoy of 184 stranded people from Dubai have landed Mangalore International Airport on Saturday from Ras Al Khaima Airport in UAE. He got tremendous support from Bhatkal youths residing in Dubai as well as from Majlise Islah Wa Tanzeem, Bhatkal. Even Bhatkali Jamatul muslimeen Mangalore also came forward to support the cause, due to which the arrangements were outstanding.

It is also to be recalled that due to the COVID-19 lockdown, many Indians have stuck in UAE. Many have lost the jobs, while many are running out of money to bear their daily expenses, and also the International flights services too stands suspended. Studying the problems of the distressed people, Mr Atiqur Rahman Muniri took a challenging task of repatriating stranded people of Bhatkalis and surrounding regions back home. As his first chartered flight was successful and the convoy reached hometown safely, the efforts to hire second flight is underway, and also, according to Atiqur Rahman Muniri, he may hire third flight too after considering the grievances of the stranded citizens. He said that he is recieving good cooperation from Indian Embassy in UAE, along with district administrations of both Uttara Kannada and Dakshina Kannada for this noble cause.
