Nawayath Premier League cricket tournament to begin on 4th Jan at Ajman ground, UAE

Bhatkal/Ajman: "Bhatkal Community T20 cricket tourney is all set to begin on 4th January, Friday at Eden Garden in Ajman, as the inaugural ceremony of 'Aztex Nawayath Premier League (NPL) likely to kick off at 4 PM", announced NPL organizing committee in a press release. 

According to the release, The first match in the 5-team tournament will begin at 2 PM between Abu Dhabi Riders and Karimi Challengers, followed with the opening ceremony at 4 PM on the same day.

The tournament will be played in a 'Round robin' format with all teams playing against the other and the top two teams clashing in the final for the top prize.

Some of the biggest cricketing names from Bhatkal and its vicinity will be participating in a scintillating display of their skills. 

“Nawayath Premier League is offering cricket fans from the community a new platform to enjoy the game that will be played in all fairness. We are glad that our community members will have another fun-filled opportunity to play the game and enjoy the time together. We hope to see crowds in large numbers,” said Shafaat Shahbandari, Convenor of Aztex NPL.

In a release it was said that the NPL management is proud that the T20 tournament is being held with the support of prominent community members and organisations, who have stepped forward as our title sponsors.

To be played at world class facility, with some of the matches under lights, the league will be held at Eden Garden in Ajman.
