Movement between Dharwad & Uttara Kannada districts prohibited

Karwar: As a man has tested positive for Covid-19 in Dharwad district, the movement of people between Dharwad and Uttara Kannada has been prohibited.

However, permission has been given to those who supply essentials like food items to Mundgod, Yellapur and Haliyal taluks from Dharwad district.

Those who have stayed in Dharwad district for a month or more than that have been prohibited from entering Uttara Kannada. Except in emergency cases, none are allowed to enter and leave the district. Police Department has been asked to take steps in the three check-posts to implement the order.

No lorries

Public Relations Officer Rajesh Tiwari said that West Coast Paper Mills in Dandeli had also prohibited lorries from Kerala and Maharashtra from Sunday. Lorries coming from other areas are being sprayed with disinfectants. Even the drivers and assistants are being checked and then being let in. This is being done round the clock.
