Mangaluru: Theft of vehicle batteries; 2 arrested

Mangaluru: The Konaje police arrested two persons for allegedly stealing batteries of lorries, earth mover and other vehicles.

According to the police, the arrested are Rajeev K (27), a resident of Kunthoor Perabe and Sinan (24) from Kedila.

Acting on a tip off, the police waylaid a vehicle at Sutpadi Cross in Balepuni and noticed 10 batteries inside the vehicle.

During the inquiry the duo confessed to stealing the batteries, the police said. The value of the total seized properties is Rs 2.70 lakh.
