Mangaluru: Girl commits suicide after she fails in PU exams

Mangaluru: Depressed over failing in II PU examination, a student from Moodbidri committed suicide at her relatives’ house in Puna.

The deceased is Prathiksha Shetty (18), daughter of Jaya Shetty, a resident of Mantradi.

Prathiksha had written the examination as a private candidate. After the examination, she returned to her uncle’s house (father’s brother).

On realising that she had failed in the exam, she committed suicide by hanging.
