Kundapur: Woman arrested for murder of husband

Kundapur: Police arrested a woman for allegedly murdering her husband with the help of two minors in Amparu village near Shankaranarayana in Kundapur taluk.

The victim was identified as Nagaraj, a native of Sagara taluk in Shivamogga district. He was residing in Amparu with his wife, Mamatha. On October 19, Mamatha (36) informed Nagaraj's elder sister Nagarathna over the phone that the former had committed suicide by consuming excess alcohol.

When Nagarathna went to pay homage to her dead brother at government hospital’s mortuary in Shankaranarayana, she noticed blood clot in the neck portion. Nagarathna then complained to Shankaranarayana police. During interrogation Mamatha confessed to murdering her husband with the help of two minors. Police registered a case and are on the lookout for two minors.
