K'taka govt to reinstate suspended KSRTC workers

Bengaluru:  Karnataka government issued orders to reinstate the workers of Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) who were suspended during the protest.

Transport Minister B. Sriramulu conducted a meeting with officials of transport department where the decision was taken.

Speaking to the mediapersons after the meeting, Minister Sriramulu said all the 4,200 transport department workers who were suspended during the demonstration will be reinstated .

“The State Government has decided to withdraw all the cases that were imposed against the transport department workers during their protest, including suspension, dismissal, transfer and others. All the employees will be recalled for services,” he said.

Further, he said, “Discussions are being held with the transport department union leaders and also discuss this with the trade unions also. We have already discussed this with the Chief Minister. We have taken this decision keeping in mind that the transport department employees and the common people should not suffer” he added.
