Karnataka govt schools register 100 pc pass percentage in SSLC exams

Bengaluru: The government schools in Karnataka have achieved 100 per cent pass percentage in the SSLC examinations this year.

This is nearly 30 per cent more pass percentage than last year’s SSLC exams. In 2020, the state had registered a 71.80 pass percentage.


Announcing the results today, Primary and Secondary Education Minister BC Nagesh said that a total of 99.99 per cent passed the SSLC exam this year.

Out of which,1.28 lakh students secured the ‘A ‘ grade and as many as 157 students have obtained 625/625 marks in the SSLC examination.

This was the first time that the students had attempted multi-choice questions.

They appeared for the examination in two phases. One day the students appeared for core subjects and on the other for language exams.

This year, the boys fared better than the girls. As much as 100 per cent boys passed the exams, while the girls registered a pass percentage of 99.9 per cent.

Despite many states cancelled board examinations, Karnataka had gone ahead with conducting physical exams with certain riders due Covid-19.
