Intermittent rain in Dakshina Kannada, Udupi

Mangaluru: Intermittent rain lashed different parts of Dakshina Kannada (DK) and Udupi on Sunday.

In the past 24 hours (ending 8 am on Sunday), Dakshina Kannada district received an average of 42.6 mm rainfall. Mangaluru taluk received highest of 70.1 mm rain followed by Bantwal - 42.4 mm, Belthangady - 39.7 mm, Puttur - 37 mm and Sullia - 23.9 mm.

Rain gained momentum in Udupi, Kundapura, Baindoor, Hebri, Kaup. The India Meteorological Department has sounded a yellow alert in the coastal districts till August 5.
