Honnavar: As many as 15 people including nine college students sustained injuries in a serial accident involving two buses, a bike and a car on the slope near the central bus stand in Honnavar on Thursday.

The accident took place when an NWKRTC bus that was on its way to the bus stand from Gerusoppa hit a bike and then hit another bus which was ahead of it. That bus which was hit on the rear end hit a car.

Those injured in the accident were admitted to the hospital.

A case against bus driver Harishchandra Naik was registered with the police. However, the exact reasons for the bus driver losing control of the vehicle are not known.
