‘False cases against Hindu activists will be withdrawn’: K S Eshwarappa

Sirsi: Minister K S Eshwarappa said the State government is collecting details of all the Hindu activists against whom the previous governments had filed false cases. The government is contemplating of quashing all those fake cases against the Hindu activists.

Speaking to media persons here on Tuesday, he said former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy is not happy that Karnataka is peaceful, which is why he is making false and baseless allegations. Kumaraswamy has stooped to such a low level of politics by saying that police has placed that bomb for mock drill and the entire episode was a staged one.

Even during the Mangaluru riots the miscreants had brought truck loads of stones and other materials to create trouble in the City. However, it was the police officials, who did not care for their lives and brought peace to Mangaluru. He said BJP would never allow anti-social elements to thrive in the State and terrorists will be brought to justice.

Grievances

Earlier, residents of Sirsi met the minister and urged him to address the problems faced by the taluk. They urged Eshwarappa, who holds the Panchayat Raj and Rural Development portfolio, to repair the 1,800 kms of rural road that comes in Sirsi taluk. These roads have been completely damaged due to heavy rains an floods. They demanded the minister to release funds for repair of roads. The minister assured of addressing their problems and release of funds in this regard.
