Gold worth Rs 16.52 lakh seized at MIA

Mangaluru:  Custom officials seized gold weighing 350 grams and valued at Rs 16.52 lakhs from a passenger at the Mangaluru International Airport on Tuesday.

Officials said that a person from Murdeshwar has been arrested.

e had come by an Air India flight from Dubai and had concealed the gold in his trolley bag beadings.

The operation was led by Customs Deputy Commissioner Dr Kapil Gade.
