Gold worth 14 lakh rupees seized at Mangaluru airport

Mangaluru: The Customs sleuths on Tuesday seized 447.61 g of gold worth of 14.09 lakhs of rupees, allegedly being smuggled by two passengers at Mangaluru International Airport.

The sleuths seized 395.26 g of gold in liquid form that was concealed by a passenger in his rectum.

They seized 52.35 g of gold hooks concealed in the bag of another passenger.

The two passengers were checked soon after they arrived at the airport from Dubai.
