Covid-19: Passenger vehicle to Maharashtra & Goa from Belagavi banned

Belagavi:  Deputy Commissioner S B Bommanahalli on Friday banned bus and other passenger vehicle services to neighboring states of Maharashtra and Goa States as a precautionary measure due to coronavirus which is spreading like wildfire in the country.

In a order issued on Friday, Mr Bommanahalli said that the District administration is taking all precautions to prevent spread of Coronavirus. Since Belagavi is a big District on the border of Maharashtra and Goa, many people pass through and there is possibility of spread of the virus, hence passenger vehicle movement banned till further orders.

He said that the order was issued under ' The Karnataka Epidemic Diseases, COVID-19 Regulations, 2020' and everybody should be follow. KSRTC Divisional Controller and RTO officials should strictly follow the order and avoid outgoing and incoming vehicles at Goa and Maharashtra Border.
