CoVid-19: Uttara Kannada records highest single-day spike with 81 new cases

Karwar: Uttara Kannada district recorded single-day spike of 81 new cases of novel Coronavirus on Monday, bringing the tally of infected persons in the district to 435, including one fatality.

According to sources, among the 81 new cases that have been confirmed to be infected with this deadly virus in the district, 45 are from Bhatkal, 20 from Kumta, 9 from Honnavar, 5 from Karwar, and 1 each from Yellapur and Sirsi.

Of the 45 infected people in Bhatkal, majority are infected from the primary contacts with P-17121.

Among the 435 infected, 165 are recovered and have been discharged from the hospital.
