‘Committee will inquire into conductor video’

Haliyal: North West Karnataka Road Transport Corporation Chairman V S Patil has said that a separate committee will be formed to inquire about the viral selfie video made by bus conductor Shruthi Kotare explaining the hardships she faced when her bus broke down in the middle of a forest.

Patil, who visited the NWKRTC Depot in Haliyal on Friday, inspected the basic facilities available at the depot and inquired about the problems being faced by drivers and conductors. Speaking to media persons on the occasion, he said that the video of lady conductor Shruthi Kotre had been considered seriously and primary inquiry had already begun so that action can be taken against the erring officials.

He said that the NWKRTC staff have been asked to behave decently with the passengers. This has been communicated to them through the officials. In the next two months, new buses will be supplied to Haliyal depot and those which are old will be sent to the scrap.
