'Masjid One Movement' awareness program held in Bhatkal

Bhatkal: An awareness program on 'Masjid One Movement, under the banner of All India Muslim Development Council (AIMDC) was held here at Tanzeem office on Sunday, to bring all Masjids of the country on a single platform for comprehensive development of the Community. 

Chief guest of the program, General Secretary of the Council, Muhammed Imtiyaz, presented a demonstration about 'Masjid One Movement'. He said, "Muslims have ruled India for about 800 years. However, today's status of Muslims here is miserable. According to a study conducted , out of the 18 crore Muslims in India, 10.6 crore Muslims live in Slum areas.

Talking about All India Muslim Development Council (AIMDC) he said that it is a budding NGO with its mission and vision to bring the Muslims all around India under one umbrella and using this unification to bring about a difference, which the society really needs. With Masjids around the country connected through this association with the help of technological tools, each Masjid can now get recognition and bring about a tremendous change by uplifting social, economical, educational, cultural and national values that shall foster the Muslim community into growing, in all spheres of life. 

With the 'Masjid' being used as a community development Center, we shall look forward to not only educate individuals over religion but give them an opportunity for over all development and improvement of one in all spheres, he noted.

Masjid is a parliament for Muslims. Masjid is not only for offering Namaz and other rituals. It is the center of empowerment of Muslims. Mosque's administration committee should have a comprehensive picture of the economic, educational, health sector and social conditions of the people. Only then the overall development is possible," he added. 

According to Imtiyaz, 74.5% of Muslims live in North India and 25.5% in South India. The economic and social conditions of the Muslims of South India are better than Muslims in Northern India. Muslims in South India are advanced in education, he elaborated.

He further said that according to the Indian Muslim population ratio, 3 percent of Muslims are in IAS and IPS, 4.5 percent in Railways, 6 percent in Police Department. While 20.9 percent of population in prison and 25 percent of beggars are Muslims.

The program began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran and its translation by Abdul Qadir Basha Ruknuddin, Majlise Islah Wa Tanzeem General Secretary Maulavi Abdur Raqeeb Mj Nadvi welcomed, Vice-President Hashim Mohtisham Barni delivered vote of Thanks. Maulana Muhammed Yasir Barmawar Nadvi compered the program and Tanzeem President SM Syed Ahmed Parvez Presided over the function.

Tanzeem Vice President I Mohtisham Jaffar, Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen President Abdur Raheem Jukaku, other muslim leaders Inayatullah Shabandri, Abdul Rahman Mohtisham, SJ Syed Hashim, Imtiyaz Udyawar amongst representatives of different Jamaats and masjids of Bhatkal Assembly constituency were present.
