Mangaluru: A 57-year-old woman died, and three others sustained injuries, after an autorickshaw in which they were travelling, fell into a rivulet at Kapuchadavu in Chibidre village in Belthangady taluk on Friday night.

According to police, the deceased is Safia. Mariamma,25, from Kadirudyavara village, Mahammed Ashraf,35, and driver Aboobakkar Siddiq were injured in the accident.

Rash and negligent driving caused the mishap, said police. A case has been registered at the Belthangady traffic police station.
