Sirsi: As a KSRTC conductor attached to Yellapur depot tested positive for Covid-19, services of drivers and conductors of Sirsi and Ankola depots are being used to ferry SSLC students in Yellapur and Mundgod taluks, KSRTC chiefs told Education Department.

NWKRTC Uttara Kannada Divisional Controller Vivek Hegde met DDPI Diwakar Shetty on Tuesday and informed him that Education Department had appealed NWKRTC to provide bus services to SSLC students. But on Monday, a conductor of Yellapur Depot tested positive. Keeping safety of students in mind, services of Sirsi and Ankola depot staff were being used. He added that the buses would not enter bus stands in any case. They will directly ferry students from pick-up points to the exam centres.
