All Corona-infected Bhatkal patients recover; 5 more from other talukas too discharged

Bhatkal: The 41st corona-infected youth of Bhatkal was discharged from Karwar's KIMS Hospital on Monday. With this, all the people of Bhatkal affected by Coronavirus have been discharged from the hospital and have joined their family members.

The 27-year-old man who was discharged from the hospital today had arrived Bhatkal from Mumbai on May 14, but was quarantined in Murdeshwar and his throat swab samples were sent for testing. However, his reports had come out as positive for Coronavirus on May 18, after which he was admitted to Karwar's KIMS hospital on the same day.

A total of six people were discharged from the hospital today, which includes a 37-year-old man from Karwar, a 26-year-old youth from Kumta, a 28-year-old girl from Honnavar, 36-year-old woman and her 40-year-old husband of Honnavar. At present, 32 people suffering from Corona in Uttara Kannada district are being treated at KIMS hospital in Karwar. According to the director of the hospital, Dr. Gajanand Naik, all undergoing treatment patients are in good health.

The Bhatkal youth who was cured, upon reaching to the hometown, was welcomed at Bhatkal government hospital by Majlise Islah Wa Tanzeem General Secretary Abdul Raqeeb MJ Nadvi, Inayatullah Shabandari, Sadique Matta, Younus Ruknaddin, Azizur Rahman Ruknaddin etc. He was also presented with flower bouquet and was then allowed to go home after all necessary paperwork.
