Bhatkal: Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramiah took on Prime minister Modi and BJP MP Anant Kumar Hegde in a strong worded speech during his visit to Uttar Kannada’s coastal town Bhatkal.

Addressing people after inaugurating several developmental works for the region, CM Siddaramiah said that PM Modi had promised to deposit 15 Lakh Rupees in every citizen’s account by bringing back black money. “Forget 15 Lakh, he couldn’t even deposit 15 paise in people’s accounts.” He thundered.

MLA Mankal Vaidya talks less, works more; Anant Kumar Hegde doesn’t even know how to behave as an MP”

While inaugurating developmental works worth more than Rs. 1200 crores for the Bhatkal Taluka, CM Siddaramiah was all praises for the local MLA Mankal Vaidya for his commitment towards people. “He is a serious man. He doesn’t waste time out of his constituency is always in touch with his people. He talks less but works more. Whenever he visits Bengaluru, his arms are filled with various files. He has maintained excellent relations with all ministers and is very down-to-earth. This is why I never give second thoughts while approving his files.” He said. “We want such decent and committed people to ensure that our developmental plans are implemented correctly and the benefits reach the people. Surely you will bless him with another term, won’t you?” he asked.

In a direct attack on Uttar Kannada MP and union minister Anant Kumar Hegde, CM Siddaramiah said that Hegde didn’t even know how to behave like a member of parliament and used language unbecoming of a Member of Parliament. “BJP has always divided people on the basis of caste and religion. We, the Congress, want a Karnataka that is free of hunger and poverty, this is our priority. But what is the priority of BJP? Their priority is not about freeing our state from hunger and poverty, all they are concerned about is freeing the state from Congress.

BJP silences people by distributing few bicycles and Sarees, Congress waives off farmer loans worth crores”

“Congress is the party that fought the British and brought freedom to the country. We made India independent. What has BJP done? BJP has done nothing but sowing hatred among people for its own political gains. They are always involved in creating enmity based on caste and religion. PM Modi promised Ache Din for the people. Where are the Ache Din for farmers, women, small scale industrialists?” He asked.

“In our rule of 4.5 years, we have brought several changes. We enabled numerous schemes for the people. We started the Anna Bhagya scheme, the Krishi Bhagya scheme, the Shadi Bhagya scheme, Indira Canteen and many more schemes. Our contribution towards the state are numerous. What has BJP done? “ He demanded.

“Yedurappa has gone to jail for corruption. Janadharan Reddy, Krishnaya Shetty, Katta Subramania Naidu, Anant Singh, Halpa, Suresh Babu, all of them have gone to jail for serious offences. BJP couldn’t even retain a CM for one term. They had 3 chief ministers for one term. Are they even fit for such a post?” He asked.

Under Congress, Karnataka became no. 1 industrial center and investment hub

CM Siddaramiah said that in the Congress rule, Karnataka became the top state for industries and investment. We met PM Modi to waive off farmer loans. PM Modi was not ready. We waived off loans worth 8165 crores for more than 22 Lakh farmers. Before PM Modi, previously, during the Congress government, ex-PM Manmohan Singh had waived off loans worth 72 thousand crores. This shows who cares for the people, he said.

There is no discrimination on the basis of caste and religion. We just want to ensure that no one sleeps on a hungry stomach in our state.
