Siblings held for running illegal slaughter house in Mangaluru

Mangaluru: Two men were arrested on the charges of running an illegal slaughterhouse at Addur near Bajpe. The incident came to light during a raid conducted by a team led by  Bajpe inspector T D Nagaraj on 16th July, Sunday.

The accused are identified as Mustafa (27) and Abdul Majeed (23), residents from Addoor. Both are siblings and already have faced​ half a dozen cases at Bajpe police station, one in Suratkal and another at the Kavoor police station.

As per the sources, Bajpe police led by inspector T D Nagaraj, had conducted a raid at Addur on 16th July, Sunday morning and seized Tempo Traveller vehicle, a Duster car, a Ritz car and 16 cattle.

But since the raid, the duo are absconding and police are engaged in search of these two persons. They have been accused of buying stolen cattle.

Further investigations are in progress.
