Two killed after motorcycles collide in head-on near Haliyal

Haliyal: Two youths were reportedly killed on the spot after the bikes in which they were moving in had a head-on collision with each other on the evening of 12th October, Thursday here at Dusagi village in Haliyal taluk.

The deceased were identified as Sachin Kalyankar (21) and Dheeraj Giri (20). Both are said to be the residents of Alnavar and Dandeli respectively.

The injured, who was riding pillion was identified as Vinayak Tolki (21) of Alnavar. He was immediately taken to KIMS hospital in Hubli for advanced treatment. 

Sources informed that the flow of traffic on Khanapur - Talguppa national highway was stuck due to the incident.

A case has been registered in Haliyal police station.
