Mangaluru: Two arrested in 'Target Ilyas' murder case

Mangaluru: The CCB police and Pandeshwar police personnel here have been successful in arresting two of the accused in connection to the murder of ‘Target Ilyas’.

The arrested accused are Muhammed Sameer (27yrs) s/o Aliabba, resident of Ullal and Nameer Hamza (34yrs) s/o late Abubakker, a resident of Manjeshwar, Kasargod district.

The accused Sameer has two cases against him registered at Ullal police station for attacking a member of the ‘Target group’ Surma Imran and vandalizing the house of Hamza, another member of the gang.

Nameer Hamza has case of attempt to murder registered against him at Konaje police station and robbery cases in various other police stations including Ullal, Surathkal, etc.

Ilyas alias Target Ilyas was hacked to death by miscreants on 13th January at his home. He was a member of the notorious 'Target Group' from Ullal and was involved with several criminal cases.
