Temple burgled in Siddapur; ornaments taken away

Siddapur: Ornaments adorning the idol of Goddess Marikamba at a temple in Kangodu in Siddapur taluk were taken away by thieves, recently.

The stolen gold and silver ornaments were worth Rs 1.51 lakh.

The thieves gained entry into the temple by breaking open the main door and absconded with the valuables.
