Sea erosion intensifies at Bhatkal

Bhatkal: Sea erosion has intensified in Honnigedde, Heble in the Bhatkal taluk on Monday.

Main road of Honnigedde has been partially damaged. Houses and coconut trees in the vicinity face the threat of being washed away by the waves.

Tahshildar V N Badkar visited the spot along with other officials and has urged to provide a permanent facility for the sea erosion.

A report will be submitted to the DC in this regard.  More boulders would be laid to prevent further erosion of the sea.

On the occasion, Heble Panchayat President N D Moger, revenue inspector Raju Naik, Village accountant Annaya, Panchayat PDO Jayanthi Naik, Secretary Linkappa and many others were present.
