Bhatkal: Mentally unstable man attacks Anjuman watchman, arrested

Bhatkal: The early morning hours of 12th August, Saturday turned ugly after a mentally unstable man entered into the town's popular educational organization Anjuman Hami e Muslimeen's administrative block office and started assaulting the watchman who was resting and then began to destroy the office premises and as a result was then arrested by the Bhatkal police.

As per the watchman Ibrahim, at around 4 am, an unknown man came to him and started assaulting him when he was sleeping outside the Anjuman administrative office. The unknown man attacked Ibrahim brutally. Later, Ibrahim tried to run away observing safety for his life. The unstable man picked up a pickaxe which was near him and followed the watchman to attack him with it. However, watchman Ibrahim managed to escape from him, but he then destroyed entrance door of Anjuman administrative office by hitting it with the pickaxe and as a result the glass portion of the door was ruined.

Watchman Ibrahim called the Bhatkal police asking for help, after which the police arrived at the spot and took the unstable man into their custody.
