Bantwal: Gram Panchayat vice-president murdered in broad daylight

Bantwal: It has been brought to light that the vice-president of the Karopadi Gram Panchayat, Abdul Jaleel Karopadi (36 yrs) was assaulted by four masked men on 20th April, Thursday.

The incident took place within a short period after Jaleel entered his office.

Four assailants, who are still unidentified, attacked Jaleel inside the office of Karopadi Gram Panchayat in Bantwal taluk in broad daylight and hacked him to death.

The miscreants who came in bikes, barged into the office with machetes, threw chilli into his eyes and then beat him without mercy.

Jaleel, who was seriously injured, surrendered to the injuries on way to the hospital at Natekal and had his last breath.

The primary reason for murder is supposed to be past enmity but it is unconfirmed.

The investigations have begun and the police has assured to find results soon.
