Madrasa Darul Hadees Arabiya Salafiya celebrates Independence Day with great zeal in Sirsi

Sirsi: Students and teachers at Madrasa Darul Hadees Arabiya Salafiya in Arekoppa of Sirsi celebrated the Independence Day with patriotic fervour and great zeal by hoisting national flag and singing national anthem today.

Scores of students with traditional white attire and skull cap gathered at the assembly ground in the morning to take partattentiohoisting ceremony. Maulana Hafiz Abdul Rahman saab gave a command of attention before the flag hoisting by the Madrasa President Janaab Abdul Jabbar Shaikh. 

"Since our childhood we have been celebrating the Independence Day this way in our Madrasa," said Mehtaab Khan, a treasurer of the institution.

Following the national anthem, students as well as Islamic scholars delivered speeches recalling the sacrifices of freedom fighters and great leaders. The Madrasa management also distributed sweets among the children.

"We celebrate and recite national anthem in our madarsa every year to mark Independence Day and Republic Day," said Madrasa committee member Janaab Abdul Wahaab Shaikh.

Unchalli GP member Shri Vishveshwar Hegde Kabbe was invited as chief guest to the ceremony. Madrasa committee members Altaf, Subhan Andagi, Janaab Abdul Wahaab, and people from the locality were present during the occasion.
