Kumta: The mystery of missing  brothers from Kumta seems to be solved after 2 corpses were found at Talari Ghat in Maharashtra. It may be recalled that a lorry driver and a cleaner who were cousin brothers, were missing from 24 November last year with loaded truck in Maharashtra.

The truck driver Muhammad Ishaq Khader Sab (24) and cleaner Raihan Mohiddin Sab (20), residents of Santegulli village in Kumta had gone missing along with the truck laden with iron rods. The truck owner had suspected that these two may have fled with the truck instead of taking it to its destination, Kolhapur. In this regard, a case was also filed at Kumta police station. But there were no leads as the brothers were not traceable for several days and their mobile phones were switched off.

But after recovering two corpses on the Talari Ghat, Kumta Circle Police Inspector Santosh Shetty suspects that these might be the bodies of Raihan and Ishaq, for which further investigations are on. The family members of the brothers have reached Maharashtra for identification.

It is said that the truck was found earlier in December in Maharashtra, but driver and cleaner were missing. Police believe that some robbers may have looted the truck and later killed both of them. The real facts are expected to be brought to light after further investigations.
