French national dies in Gokarna, India

Kumta: A 44-Year-Old French man has reportedly died after he fell down at Gokarna Car street in Kumta taluk on Monday while he was walking on the road.

The deceased has been identified as Jerald Barnald Jholi.

According to sources, Jerald was visiting India and arrived on December 26 along with his friends on tourist visa. As part of their visit, they also came to see the historical places in Gokarna, during which the incident happened. It was also said that Jerald was intoxicated when he slipped.

The exact cause of death has not been determined. More details will emerge after post mortem is completed. A case has been registered in Gokarna police station.
