DVS visits relief camps, landslip site

Mangaluru: Union Minister for Programme Implementation and Statistics D.V. Sadananda Gowda and Nalin Kumar Kateel, MP, visited the relief camps set up for the flood victims of Kodagu in Sampaje Kodagu, Kallungundi, and Tekkila on Sunday.

They enquired about the health of the people there. Both visited rain-hit areas in Kadammakallu, near Kalmakaru in Sullia taluk. They also saw a damaged bridge there. Later, they visited Indabettu village in Belthangady taluk, where a landslip had damaged the Padambila-Kallaje Road. They asked officials to take up remedial measures soon.
