Rise in the cases of Dengue in Bhatkal taluk

Bhakal: There has been a drastic increase in cases regarding the contagious dengue fever at Bhatkal taluk. Along with other patients even the Health Education Officer has been infected with the disease and has been admitted to Manipal hospital for treatment.

During the year 2017, about 4 cases of dengue have been reported in Bhatkal taluk. Manjunath Rangappa Naik(24) resident of Hadin, Suprita Parameshwar Bhat (20) of Murdeshwar, Manjunath Anappa Mogere of Mavinkurve Karikal and Senior Heath Education Officer Ayrayya Narayan Devadiga (57) are the one’s infected so far.

Health Department has directed the public stating that if anyone feels a fever or cold, then don’t ignore it and immediately visit a doctor. The have also advised the locals to keep their surroundings neat and clean.
