Cyclist dies after getting trapped under a truck in an accident on Honnavar NH 66

Honnavar:  A cyclist who was trapped under a lorry for several hours has succumbed to injuries. The cyclist was trapped under the truck after a speeding truck toppled on Arga NH 66 in Honnavar on Sunday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Manjunath Madival (50), a resident of Baragadde village in Kumta.

The mishap happened when the driver of the Beetelnut-laden truck heading towards Ahmedabad from Mangaluru lost control of the vehicle and toppled on the highway. The cyclist who was near the spot was crushed under the truck.

The body was later recovered with the help of locals. 

A case has been registered in Honnavar police station.
