Centre sanctions funds for roads, bridges in Uttar-Kannada district

Karwar: According to district In-charge Minister RV Deshpande, the Centre, under Central Road Funds, has sanctioned Rs 25 crore for development of various roads and bridges in Uttara Kannada district.

In a press release issued here, Deshpande further said that with funds sanctioned to the district, steps would be taken to build quality road works.

The reconstruction of Amminalli, Mosalegundi, Mastihalla bridges on Kumta-Tadas Road will be taken up under CRF funds. New bridges will be constructed at Yadalli-Kanalli and Utehole in Sirsi taluk, Tenginmane in Siddapur taluk, and in Harsikatta and Haravalli, he said.

Road works on State Highway-146 passing through Ulavi, in Joida taluk, which connects Goa border and State Highway-46 on Mundgod-Anashi, will also be taken up, he said.
