Carcass of leopard found in well

Karwar: Carcass of an eight-year-old leopard was found in the well belonging to Arun Gunaga, at Anale village, in Ankola taluk, on Wednesday.

Hiregutti Range Forest Office Mohan Bidar said the leopard may come in search of water and accidentally slipped into the well and drowned.

The carcass, which was lifted out of the well, was cremated after post-mortem.
