1 killed, 3 injured after car crashes with lorry on Bhatkal NH-66

Bhatkal: In a tragic road accident that happened in between a car and a lorry, one person was killed, while three others were seriously injured. The incident happened on the afternoon of 10th September, Sunday, here at Murdeshwar NH-66 of Bhatkal taluk.

Both the vehicles had an head-on collision with each other. The impact of the collision was such that the car went out of its shape. All four people travelling in the car sustained severe injuries, after which they were taken to nearby RNS hospital in Murdeshwar. But unfortunately, one among them succumbed to the injuries on the way. The deceased was identified as Bhaskar (70). The other injured were identified as Suresh (34), Ravindran (65) and Asniju (40). All are the residents of Kannur of Kerala.

The incident happened when the car was on the way towards Kerala from Murdeshwar, while the truck loaded with fishes was in the opposite direction.

The injured were later shifted to Kundapur after giving initial treatments at Murdeshwar.

A case has been registered in the Murdeshwar police station.
