Bhatkal Taluk secures 4th position in SSLC results with 89.27%

Bhatkal: In Karwar education district, Karwar taluk has secured the first position with 89.75% passing percentage, Honnavar is second with 89.27%, Kumta is at third position with 88.53% and Bhatkal at fourth position with 87.74%.

A total of 2014 students appeared for the SSLC exams from here of which 1767 students have passed. As usual, girls have outclassed boys in passing percentage. 90.38% girls have passed while passing percentage in boys is 84.76%.

As many as 5 schools have scored 100% results, of which, 3 are government, two private schools. Students from government schools recorded 91.90% with 488 students clearing the examinations. While students from aided schools recorded 78.59% (525) and as many as 754 students recorded 92.52% in unaided schools.

As many as 117 students have scored marks of 90 to 100, 370 students have scored marks between 80 and 90 while 474 have scored marks between 70 and 80.

Top scorers

K K Ananya of RNS Vidyanekatan High School, Murdeshwar and Shreya Venkanna Nayak of Anand Ashram Convent High School, Bhatkal scored 615 with 98.40% and stood top in Bhatkal taluk.
