Shams teacher Mr. MR Manvi awarded 'Best Teacher 2017' by Rabita in Bhatkal

Bhatkal: Mr. MR Manvi, a senior faculty member of Shams English medium high school,  was honored with 'Rabita's Best Teacher Award' at Rabita Educational Society's annual awards at Bhatkal on 11th August, Friday. The award was presentd by the hands of Mr. UT Khader, the state minister for food and civil supplies 

About Mr. MR Manvi:

Mr. Muhammad Raza Manvi hails from Manvi Taluk in Uttar-Karnataka. He has been serving in Shams English medium high school since twenty years. Initially, he was appointed as the faculty for physical education, after which he completed B.Ed and was appointed as the teacher for Kannada education in Shams school. Since three years he is handling the post of headmaster in Shams English medium high school.  A beloved teacher of students since many years, he was invited and felicitated by the Shams Alumni in Dubai. He is also the recipient of the late Siddiqui Jafri's best teacher award for 2015-16, presented by the Tarbiyat Education Society.

Mr. Manvi has always kept himself busy in developing humanitarian values and brotherhood among the students and has also been an active supporter of communal harmony. 

Apart from teaching, Mr. Manvi holds degree holder in journalism and has been serving as a freelance journalist for 14 years in the Vartha-Bharathi, a famous Kannada daily. He is also an editor of Kannada section in the coastal Karnataka's prominent news portal SahilOnline. Mr. Manvi is also involved in various social services. He is the secretary of All India Ideal teacher's association and also a Vice-president of Bhatkal taluk working journalists Association.

On the occasion, President of Tarbiyat Education Society Mr. Abdul Khader Basha Ruknuddin, vice-president of Shams English Medium high school Mr. MT Hasan Basha, Mr. Syed Ashraf Barmawar, secretary Talha Siddibapa, Principal of new Shams school Ms. Fahmida Mulla, State president of All India Ideal teachers' Association Mr. Muktar Ahmed Kotwal, District president Mr. Muhammad Yaseen, Bhatkal taluk working journalists Association president Mr. Radhakrishna Bhat, Jamate Islami Hind Bhatkal unit president Mr. Mujahid Mustafa amongst many other dignitaries congratulated him for recieving this honour.
