Bhatkal boy registers first place in All India Qiraat Quran competition in Mumbai

Bhatkal: Adding yet another milestone to the town, a student of Bhatkal's Jamia Islamia, Hafeez Jafar Qazia s/o Bhatkal Jamaat Ul Muslimeen's deputy Qazi Maulana Abdul Azeem Qazia Nadvi has made the entire town feel proud by his outstanding performance in achieving first place in All India Qiraat competition organized by Dawat Al sunna organization in Mumbai. As a winning participant, he was awarded an opportunity to fly for Umrah along with his parents.

According to the sources, around 35 students from different states had participated in the final round of Qiraat competition.

Displaying a wonderful performance in Qiraat competition, Hafeez Jafar of Bhatkal's Jamia Islamia registered a first place, while Muhammad Ismail s/o Muhammad Sadiq of Mumbai's Darul Uloom Sulaimania received second place. Muhammad Aamir s/o Showkat of Darul Uloom Hameediya Taalimul Quran got third place. The competition began in the morning around 10 am and lasted till Asar prayers in the evening of Sunday, 11 March.

The judges in the competition were Maulana Mufti Muhammad Shafi Arifi, Maulana Huzaifa Qasmi, and Qari Saiful Bari, while the examiners were Maulana Zeeshan Ul Islam Nadvi, Qari Hazik Nasiri, and Qari Sadiq Nasiri.

A senior most personality of Idara Dawat Al sunna trust Mumbai Maulana Shahid Nasiri Al Hanafi, vice-president Maulana Sayed Ajaz Ahmed Mali, Mufti Muhammad Nafey Arifi, Council general of Egypt Mr. Sayed Tabarak Muhammad, Maulana Abu Zafar Nadvi, Chairman of Baseerat media group Maulana Ghufran Sajid Qasmi, chief editor of 'Aamna-Saamna' Raashad Azeem, Maulana Abdul Quddus Shakir Hakeemi, Sehrabul Azmi, amongst many others were present on the occasion.

On the achievement of Bhatkal's Hafeez Jaffar Qazia, the president of Majlis e Islah Wa Tanzeem Bhatkal Qazia Muzammil Saheb and general secretary Mohiddin Altaf Kharuri including the principal of Jamia Islamia Bhatkal Maulana Maqbool Ahmed Kobattey Nadvi and the representatives of various organizations have wished him for his success and expressed their happiness.
