Bhatkal: Anjuman student Sandra Pinto Selected for Varsity Volleyball team

Bhatkal: Kumari Sandra Tivan Pinto, a student of the Anjuman Degree College and PG center, Bhatkal has been selected to represent the Karnataka University in its Women Volleyball team.

Pinto gained the distinction of “University Blue” and became the first woman not only from Anjuman Hami e Muslimeen institution, but from the entire Bhatkal to achieve the distinction.

An M.Com student, Sandra was shortlisted  after she performed brilliantly in the selection trials held at SDM College, Honnavar recently. She will be playing at the university level in Kannur for All india university tournament.

Management memebers of Anjuman  Hami-e-Muslimeen expressed their elation on her selection as Anjuman is credited with bringing education to girls and women in the region.
